Our chapter meetings are usually held on the second Wednesday of the month during the school year at 9:00 AM. They provide a chance for members to discuss upcoming events and other organization business, as well as network with other teachers.

A teacher-focused program follows our business meeting, usually beginning around 10:15 AM. Programs are geared toward the interests of the independent music teacher. Topics include teaching tips, technology know-how, learning about new repertoire, and scholarly presentations on composers and pedagogy.

chapter Meeting Location

First Congregational Church – 461 Pierson St, Crystal Lake, IL 60014

Our meetings typically take place in the historic First Congregational Church in Crystal Lake on the second Wednesday of each month (between September and April). Park in the lot off of Lake Ave and enter through the double green doors at the Office entrance in the rear of the building.

We meet in the Fellowship Hall, located on the main level. Go up the short set of stairs, go past the chapel towards the office. Then turn left towards the sanctuary, and the Fellowship Hall is on the right.
